In July 2026, the Accountability Accelerator published From Shared Diagnosis to Stronger Strategy, a report presenting the findings from our mapping of legal work underway globally to prevent and address corporate harms to nature.

The report is based on a 2025 survey of 102 individuals across 52 countries, including legal practitioners, Indigenous groups, NGOs, funders and civil society actors engaged in legal work to prevent and address corporate harms to nature.

Our conclusion: the legal ecosystem working to protect nature is active and experienced, but fragmented, underfunded and not yet translating progress into justice for the people and places that need it most.

Join us for an online conversation this September looking at what’s needed to advance the opportunity areas and address the gaps identified in our research.

We’ll explore how re-granters can help strengthen corporate accountability for harms to nature through the use of legal tools, systems, and mechanisms. We will explore questions such as:

• Which findings and recommendations from the report are most actionable in the short and medium term?
• How can re-granters – both individually and as a group – help advance priority areas aimed at ending corporate harms to nature?
• What types of collaborative approaches are missing, or need to be built or strengthened to enable more success?
• How will we assess our collective impact?
