Investor-Driven Accountability for Companies on Land and Biodiversity
Project summary
Ceres will work to: (1) build investor capacity to engage with companies on nature-related risks and emerging nature-related guidance and standards (including the forthcoming Science Based Targets for Nature), and (2) foster investor collaboration around land and biodiversity issues, developing investor-specific engagement materials for the food and agricultural sector on nature-related risks.
These outcomes will drive a corporate accountability cycle whereby companies will be expected to assess and disclose their value chain-wide impacts and dependencies on nature, enabling ongoing appraisal of corporate disclosures, commitments, policies, and practices by institutional investors.
